So here I am, sitting behind my computer typing up my first blog entry. It’s been a strange and non-sensical route to get here.
It started from browsing Amazon Haul firing one of the sales days they have at times and I found digital NFC business cards for a penny each (limit three). I figured, what the heck, I’m a sport, for three cents and free shipping, what can go wrong? Nothing, actually. Of course, the company wants you to use their app, and take all your info, etc. I’m currently working with RFID and NFC technology at my day job, so I blanked out these cards in short order and turned them into blanks and started imaging my own data, vCard, the whole shebang. Then I realized, hey, why not just go feet first into this and have an actual site to tie it to and keep going from there.
Haven’t messed around with WordPress in a while, and wow has it changed a lot. I’m not sure if I’m entirely annoyed with it yet, or just partially annoyed. They seem to be trying to abstract so much away from the user that some things just feel… stiff. I guess that is the price to pay for ease of use.
